Only 90 minutes from Manhattan, the 1880 House is a home lovingly preserved by Mrs. Elsie Collins, and filled with her antiques and personal touches. Victorian lounges, caned rocker, piano, hurricane lamps, and antique pine apothecary chest, Shaker benches, Chinese and English porcelain: the eclectic furnishings harmonize to create the casual, country inn atmosphere. And, while the sea air chills Westhampton Beach, the parlor fire and the 1907 Modern Glenwood Oak potbelly stove continually blaze to keep the Seafield House toasty warm and romantic during the winter months.
There are two large suites, each with an adjoining sitting room and private bath in the main house; the Victorian blue suite with delicate
floral wallpaper and raised brass bed, or the rustic paneled yellow suite with loveseat couch, antique oak desk, swivel cane chair and featuring a claw bathtub. These suites are spacious and sunny.
In the morning, the aromas of freshly brewing coffee and Mrs. Collins' breads and rolls baking in the oven are likely to awaken guests for a full breakfast.
The third country-like suite with kitchen and sunken tub is located in the adjacent hundred-year-old barn, an ideal honeymoon getaway. This unique Carriage style House is also available for long-term rental, by month or by the season. Please call our toll free number.
You will feel relaxed and well cared for when you leave this hideaway gem, carrying one of Mrs. Collins' complimentary homemade goodies.
